Where things stand on a topic: current state, what was decided, what is still open.
The registry's own words: Catch me up: where we are on this topic or conversation — state, decisions, what's open.
Fire it — usage examples
“Where are we on the supplier quotes?
re:recap”→ state, decisions, and open items, distinctly — not a re-argument of anything settled.
After an hour of back-and-forth about Saturday's move, you type:
re:rec→ where the plan stands, what was decided, and what is still open, in one scannable reply.
Said aloud: “Lingo, reply recap — where are we on the move?”
→ the same catch-up, spoken back.
Spoken. Inside a marked span opened by the wake word “Lingo”, the spoken form is “reply recap”. Dictated directives fire deliberately, never by accident.
What the agent actually does
The agent assembles the recap from the conversation itself; standing decisions held in durable memory are included and marked as remembered rather than said here.
The baseline procedure, its edge cases, and this directive's full guide live in the implementation guide: implementation/IMPLEMENTATION.md#cmd-re-recap ↗.
When the host can't
No host capability required. If there is no conversation or saved state to recap, say so plainly rather than inventing history.
Conformance — “done when”
State, decisions, and open items are presented for the named topic, from real history only.
Persistence class: none. Execution report in the reply: not required. A user can test any of this by hand — fire the directive, then check the result against the store, the schedule, or the reply itself.
